Opera for Android doesn't sync passwords in my Opera Account

Hi. I'm not able to sync passwords saved in my Opera Account to an Android device.
I tried both with a OnePlus One and a Xiaomi Mi6. No luck with both. I only get my bookmarks after signing-in with my Opera Account. But i remember I was able once to have my passwords also on my mobile.
Of course, sync functions seamlessly on my PCs, also for passwords.
What do I have to do?
Thank you! -

@ocirnes said in Opera for Android doesn't sync passwords in my Opera Account:
@mikelo96 Unfortunately, password sync is not supported on Android.
I thought of that. But if I remember right, I've had my passwords synced once. Of course, I can be wrong.
Well, anyway, it would be nice to have that on Android too. -

I am not using Opera browser in my android device for this reason. I hope developer consider this important feature.

The only "work-around" that I can think of is using the LastPass extension on Opera desktop instead of the native password manager. Then you can also use the LastPass app on your Android device to sync your passwords with your desktop computer(s).
This is not a perfect solution and I'd much rather have native support for password syncing between the desktop and Android browsers like you have on both Chrome and Firefox. In fact, the lack of this feature is the main reason why I've NEVER settled with Opera as my main browser. I've always used Chrome or Firefox instead of Opera because of this

I have moved back to Opera after many years with Firefox. Really like Opera. I too am inconvenienced by lack of password sync to my Kindle Fire 10 (some for of Adroid).
I also use Roboform but will likely stop the subscription because it doesn't play nicely with new version of FF or Opera.
is there a way to import password files from Roboform or LastPass to Opera? -

@sgunhouse , is there a technical issue to not implement it, or is it by choice/priority/philosophical reason/whatever ?
If it is the latter, we can keep on providing feedback to implement it, else we just have to hope the technical issue will vanish one day . -

@mmichel I believe it's intentional with the devs to not allow passwords to be synced to Android. At least that's what I've learned from searching the forums. As for feedback, good luck with that. I once sent a bug report regarding a different issue with Opera Android and never got any response.

@slytheringirl And what did you reset here that led you to such conclusion?
Regarding bug reports not being answered, it's clearly said in the confirmation email that they will only reply if necessary.

@slytheringirl That's strange. Did you provided an valid email address when reporting the problem?

@slytheringirl Well, just checked and even in the page that loads after you submit the bug report says that there will be no reply unless necessary.

I just switched to Opera and I'm quite confused how password sync can be missing in 2018? It's not a new browser, I remember using it on a Symbian device and in all that time nobody thought to include such a basic feature?

This feature is essential for me, so I've had to stop using Opera. Please post here again when this feature becomes available, thanks.
