Problem with accentuated characters

I'm brazilian and I'm having a problem that looks like this http://imgur.com/a/WTnvc
There is an extension that kind of solves the problem, but I don't like it very much.
I already tried to change the font on opera settings but it didn't work.
Can anyone please help me, this is very annoing.

Do you have some nonstandard fonts (like Helvetica) installed?

But we didn't get any further input from the user. Maybe you can try what I suggested there and try to find the cause?

I'm sorry, i thought responses would go to my email. I'm using arial as standard font. I have already seen the other post and it didn't work

Which version of Opera - I see the Developer logo on the menu ...
