More mods needed, or at least existing ones on here more often.

Far from me to even question the role and work of moderators here, though I am (and have been) one on another site for the past 11 years, and I know it can be a pretty exhausting and unforgiving task.
But we really need either more moderators or at the very least more moderator presents on a more regular basis as the amount and frequency of spam that is appearing of late is getting slightly overwhelming.
I can only speak for myself, but we can only report it as we see it posted, but it can be displayed here on the forum for quite a while before it is finally removed. Which can be a little disheartening and makes browsing the forum a pain to say the least.

The real problem is that accounts like mine seem to be borked. You can flag those posts as much as you want to. I don't get notifications about it. Seems to be different for other mods though...

In the old forums, the mailing list was broken - maybe it still is. The actual staff may have some way to check - the rest of us just have to run through looking for suspicious posts. (There's a corollary to that, but I'm not going to say it where the spammers can see.)

So... is there any way the kind folks at Opera ASA can look into matters to rectify that, sooner rather than later? Perhaps even going so far as to create a new account for you, if needed? Right now, the spam has been piling up in the Opera Windows forum, and I don't think the spammers have any plans to lighten up in the foreseeable future...
Or perhaps we need to re-start the Spam Report thread: https://forums.opera.com/topic/976/report-spam-posts
