Why doesn't Javascript work on this site

The site did a new 'enhancement' such that the page no longer runs the script which automatically plays the loop showing radar for the past 75 minutes. I have to manually scroll up to the top and click on the Play button.
I've tried various options to things to no satisfaction.

Does this radar autoplay in other browsers?

(Unrelated - I personally hate weather sites, which force autoplay of radar or satellite images; or more generally, all sites, which force autoplay of anything. Maybe some people like me just complained and accuweather redesigned their logic?)

It doesn't auto-play on Chrome and Vivaldi here so probably something related to Chromium.

This is the one time when I want it to auto play so I can see what direction the storms are heading. This is real necessary out here in the NA prairie.

Yes-I have used that one too, but it is regional and doesn't show all of North America.

I tried other browsers and in none the play is auto-pressed.
