I'm really annyong how to change mail directory in Opera mail 1.0 build number 1044.

Hello.

I couldn't find a way to change the mail directory of Opera mail 1.0 build number 1044.

I've googled and it looks to add the following to the C:\Users****\AppData\Roaming\Opera Mail\Opera Mail\operaprefs.ini.

[Mai]
Mail Root Directory=Path

Path is where my mails are stored and I want to continue to use this after computer format.

However, This try doesn't work. "About Opera Mail" still shows the same default mail directory.

How can I change the directory? I did before but...I forgot.

And I also don't understand why Opera mail blocks user to modify whatever they want in easy way just like outlook. Why it is designed in this way?

Did you mistype it here? It goes in the section [Mail]. If that section already exists, add it there. Otherwise add it at the end of the file, as in

[Mail]
Mail Root Directory={whatever the path is}

Also note, the location of the profile directory depends on your version of Windows - check in Help > About Opera to make sure it is correct.
