Since yesterday (7/12/15) my install of Opear is also being hijacked by Yahoo. I can get to Google, but the results are being provided by Yahoo.
Anybody come up with an answer yet?

Yahoo is one of the built in search engines and can't be removed without tweaking some of Opera's files manually.

Hello guys. Have you installed some other app recently? It must be some other app/process that influences Opera. Such apps are usually visible in OS add/remove apps.
Are you located in Germany? -

OK - I'm located in UK, I've just updated to 34.0.2036.25
It not only still jumps to Yahoo, but it also changed my start screen to Yahoo!I checked my recently added apps, and the only app I've added recently was Spybot SAD, which I added after this started to see if there was any spyware causing this problem.
Previous apps were added too long ago.

Try free ADWCleaner - this app detects many browser hijacks. Check Opera shortcut properties - maybe something is attached as argument to exe file? Check extensions - are all extensions known and safe? Run Opera in private window (this disables extensions) - will it search with Yahoo again?

amgard, can you please try to install Opera in stand alone USB mode and see if you will have similar effects?

Hi BK
Before I saw your question I decided to uninstall Opera and then do a clean re-install.
It seems good for now, no Yahoo hi-jacking
I'll come back if the problem reoccurs, hopefully with more detail of any app updates that might have happened immediately before. -

Hi. My Opera was also hi-jacket. Tried with ADWCleaner. But the software did not find anything of interest. Ended up to uninstall Opera.
Deleted all Opera program files manually. Run CCleaner to clean up Registry. Manually checked registry. Re-booted the computer and finaly installed a fresh copy of Opera.Seems to working ok now.
