Hi. My Opera was also hi-jacket. Tried with ADWCleaner. But the software did not find anything of interest. Ended up to uninstall Opera.
Deleted all Opera program files manually. Run CCleaner to clean up Registry. Manually checked registry. Re-booted the computer and finaly installed a fresh copy of Opera.

Seems to working ok now.

Thank you for the tip. Could not find opera_autoupdate.exe. Ended up making a new icon with the following path:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\launcher.exe" --disable-update

It seems to work very well.

I had enough. I have spend all evening to use a version of Opera I use at work. Opera 27 without the fu..... gray bar at the bottom. Even when I have told the Opera 27 not look for updates, it installs Opera 29. What a fu.... are the developers thinking about?? It should not force a version that users do not want to use.

I'm ditching this browser and start using Firefox instead. After all these years using Opera, I had enough crap from his company.

Hi.
Now I'm getting realy p.. of.
To avoid the idiotic ugly grey bar at the buttom of the browser, I installed Opera 27.
When I just opened Opera, it suddenly had installed Opera 29. Why???
I'm have until know used Opera as my main browser, but they have become arrogant and force installation of a version I would not use.

How can this be preventet.

No offence, but the devolper needs to make there product more interesting, therefore they add things that they think user would like to have. And not what they want. :jester:

I'm impressed how complicated Opera have made it to get hold on bookmarks and update speed dial
In previous version, it was just to copy over the *.adr file to a new location/new computer and make a pointer to this location.
Now it is necessary to install software, export and import, and not all users have the this knowledge. or user rights on their computer.

And not mention the Speed dial. also required a third party software to make it functional

Opera is leaving the simplicity and user friendly they was famous for.

Sorry Opera. I'm looking for another browser .
