My Opera was also hi-jacket. Tried with ADWCleaner. But the software did not find anything of interest. Ended up to uninstall Opera.
Deleted all Opera program files manually. Run CCleaner to clean up Registry. Manually checked registry. Re-booted the computer and finaly installed a fresh copy of Opera.

Seems to working ok now.

Before I saw your question I decided to uninstall Opera and then do a clean re-install.
It seems good for now, no Yahoo hi-jacking
I'll come back if the problem reoccurs, hopefully with more detail of any app updates that might have happened immediately before.

Check Opera shortcut properties - maybe something is attached as argument to exe file? Check extensions - are all extensions known and safe?
Yahoo is one of the built in search engines and can't be removed without tweaking some of Opera's files manually.

If you actually type the web address http://www.google.com into the address bar (of either browser), do you get Yahoo instead?
