Twitch videos have "Flash out of date"

So for some odd reason whenever I go to Twitch I get a message saying that Flash is out of date however whenever I download Flash it does nothing. I'm not having any issues with any other flash-using website I go to such as YouTube. I tested Twitch on Chrome, Firefox and IE and they all work perfectly fine so it's just Opera that's having the issue. How do I fix this?

Go here and check which version of Flash you have installed:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
If it is not the current version use the link provided on that page to go to the Player Download Center and get the latest version.

did you go to twitch yourself or did someone send you a link to twitch?
if you get links from random people, there is a scam going around where impostor websites trick visitors into installing software by displaying a message like "In order to play this video please update Adobe Flash Player" with a "get Adobe Flash Player" graphic in the middle of where the video would be.
the real twitch website displays a different message in the top left and no graphic

It seems to do this if you have the NPAPI (Firefox) version of Flash installed rather than the PPAPI (Chromium) version of Flash installed. It's rather unfortunate since the PPAPI version causes problems with Steam's browser.
If it's giving you trouble with both versions installed, there's an option in opera://flags to completely disable NPAPI support.
