hi, I updated from 28 to 29 today and found that the turbo mode is not as good as off-road mode, it only save 61% data, but off-load could save almost 80%~90%+ data, i browse almost same pages and found the difference.
Change the image quality in settings.

It seems that accelerated 2d canvas feature (or flag) is not enabled by default and that can kill transitions in respect for link redirections (GP spam, autostarts) but will come around after few sessions. Well, 2d canvas doesn't have an implicite value and transitions flag is not present since chrome41 so I could guess that this behavior depends by app itself or chrome dev.

Tab syncing has some problems. In the beginning it was fine, but now:

I've changed, for mobile data, it cost me 33MB than usual 13MB. I can feel the difference clearly.
So I have to degrade to 28 and data saving seems come back. -

If you want extreme compression and the full web broken you can use Opera Mini. -

I'd like to know how does Turbo works. When I turned images off with old offroad they did not load, ok. But with turbo they actually load in some websites even when I disabled it (facebook, for example). Usually my 3g is so unstable and slow, that this new mode is not the best for me (I downloaded mini, in fact). Images load trhough cache? Or is something else? Thx.

I don't follow... accelerated canvas, link redirections, spam, "autostarts"... what is the connection here?

Correct, if there's content in the cache it will be used by Turbo. In Mini/OffRoad the whole page is downloaded as a single resource so if images are off then they won't show... there's no cache.

If I tell you that Opera 16 it was the only version without animated menu until 29 final then you can't follow that either. BTW, GPU info can provide kernel data instead Android v (Opera 14-16) on nexus devices and I'm wondering what is the connection too.

You are trolling me... this makes absolutely no sense.

Hi everyone
We've pushed a small update to Opera for Android.
It killed one nasty crash bug that accounted for approximately 30 percent of all crashes in our system.
Squish! Bug no more...You can find it on Google Play or alternatively, download here.
