      Hi!
You may notice the savings dial reports slightly less savings now, but the actual data transferred over the wire does not differ much, since Opera Turbo uses the cached data much more effectively than Off-Road

      Maximal savings difference is ~10%.

Well, on second thought 90% data can be saved with Turbo on, almost equal with Opera Mini. However on 29 beta the amount of data savings per session was higher with Opera Max.

I'm having the crash issue too. First I tried deleting cache and data, but it only worked for one restart, then I reinstalled it completely and now it works. Opera for Mac shows 2 devices under tabs now, and 2 different speed dials (from same phone obv.). I am not able to delete a linked device, that's something that would come in handy imo, we should just be able to get rid of the superfluous ones.

Also when I reinstalled opera and logged into my account the bookmarks synced just fine, but my speed dials do not reappear again on android, despite them being saved to opera since I can see them just fine on os x. Populating speed dials for the n-th time is a tedious task.

I like the direction this is going to though, great job.

Hi all the crash fix has now gone live (at least here in Norway where I am at the moment). Hopefully you should get an update in GP and it'll solve the problem if you were experiencing crashes on startup. Thanks for your patience!

The new update actually disables being able to access synced tabs from os x. The only thing that shows up there is tabs from the previous version of opera for android.

Uhh progress bar. Noo... It makes no sense!!
It didn't even let the previous spinner location take another purpose, it's absolutely useless.

Congratulations on the Turbo release, at last.

hi, I updated from 28 to 29 today and found that the turbo mode is not as good as off-road mode, it only save 61% data, but off-load could save almost 80%~90%+ data, i browse almost same pages and found the difference.

It seems that accelerated 2d canvas feature (or flag) is not enabled by default and that can kill transitions in respect for link redirections (GP spam, autostarts) but will come around after few sessions. Well, 2d canvas doesn't have an implicite value and transitions flag is not present since chrome41 so I could guess that this behavior depends by app itself or chrome dev.

Doesn't work how? You can't access pages? What happens when you try to use turbo?

Tab syncing has some problems. In the beginning it was fine, but now:

I've changed, for mobile data, it cost me 33MB than usual 13MB. I can feel the difference clearly.
So I have to degrade to 28 and data saving seems come back.

The new Turbo compression is better because it uses local cache and can render all websites properly.
If you want extreme compression and the full web broken you can use Opera Mini.

I'd like to know how does Turbo works. When I turned images off with old offroad they did not load, ok. But with turbo they actually load in some websites even when I disabled it (facebook, for example). Usually my 3g is so unstable and slow, that this new mode is not the best for me (I downloaded mini, in fact). Images load trhough cache? Or is something else? Thx.
