Yes. Unless something unexpected happens you should see it working by default in Opera 25.

Really? I'm using the latest Beta build (25.0.1614.35) and the mp3 support is not working. When I drag and drop a .mp3 file into Opera it does nothing! Chrome automatically plays the file as soon as I drop it. I also have the following problems: "Google translate" has no voice, why I can not hear the sound on this page?.

        Here it plays the file.

Do you have opera://flags/#proprietary-media-types-playback enabled? Also, which Windows do you use?

Yes, that flag is enabled by default. I use Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit.

Should be working on Win7 afaik.

If you try to open the file from Opera, does it works?

Nope. When I try to open the file [this] happens. Also, Opera is not able to play embedded .mp3 files from any site, (the issues I mentioned above), etc...

dinexi, that mp3 is playing for me in Opera 25. I didn't try in version 26, but I don't see why it shouldn't.

@leocg,where is the mp3 codec that Opera uses? It seems that Opera is having troubles finding it (at least for me). I even created a thread of this: https://forums.opera.com/topic/5759/opera-25-mp3-support/1.

Sorry, no idea. I guess it uses the system's ones but i'm not sure.
