      @flaviu2 I remember a reply from someone saying that it was a deliberated change.

        Why, I t was a useful feature ... if so, can be changed as an option?

          Is there any chance to bring back this useful feature: when you are in the middle of the page, one click to the tab takes you to the top, and another click brings you back to the previous position?

            @flaviu2 No.
            There are multiple complaints regarding this on forum and in their blog.

              Its pity and ilogical to remove a handy feature ... and I cannot explain why they don't put it back if the users complain about this ...

                @flaviu2 As the 2nd click deprecation refers to

                RNA-3332 Clean up “scroll to top of active tab” and make it work on more sites

                https://forums.opera.com/post/404519
                There was an assumption by other user that the 2nd click was removed to make the 'scroll to top' feature work on more sites. But from Opera team there was no feedback regarding the reason of the removal.

                As for the another issue (which stays almost during ~3 years) when 'scroll to top' feature is triggering while moving tabs, there were no feedback as well why it stays unfixed.

                    @andrew84 Thanks for the clarification. Hopefully, Opera will explain the reason and fix both issues soon.

                          Yes, lets hope for that, teoretically, if you have a scroll point, even if you move it at the top the page, its possible to get back to that scroll position.

                          And would be even better to have a feedback from Opera team.
