Can opera clear cookies by site, rather than using the crude "in the last hour" facility?

@leocg As I'm I'm posting in the Opera for Windows forum, doesn't that identify the version of OPera I am asking about?
(Cos none of those three names mean anything to me.)

@Browseruk If you want to be sure, check Help > About Opera. But you should know if you had GX or Air, so presumably Opera One.

Opera GX and Opera Air are kind of niche versions, GX for gamers and Air for mindfulness. They lack a few of the features of Opera One, such as tab islands, but have other features aimed at their target users.

                  @leocg Wish pre-supposes:
                  a) I know that Opera is a "chromium based browser; whatever that means.
                  b) That I know of other "chromium based browser"
                  c) Know how to perform this task inone of thos eother "chromium based browser".

                  None of which is true.

@sgunhouse Okay Opera One. (Is the cookie clearing method different, or non-existent on those other desktop versions?)

I've seen reference to tab islands, tried the "New tab in island", but couldn't work out what it did. I evern tried help on teh subject and got sent to a webpage that waffled on in marketing-ease extoling the virtues of the facility, but not once explaining HOW to use them.

Any pointers to a marketing-speak free, concide explanation of what the do, how they do it and how to initiate it/them?

@Browseruk The Chromium part was just some extra info.

@Browseruk The easiest way to delete cookies related to a particular site is while on the site click on the icon in the address bar. This brings up an informational pop-up about the site with an option to edit settings and data relevant to that site. If for some reason you don't wish to visit the site directly you'd need to go through Settings to the Cookie section then click Manage cookies, then enter the domain name to find the cookies for that site,

Tab islands are a way of grouping tabs. If you see a slight gap berween tabs in the tab bar that is what seperetes different islands. You can drag tabs together to make islands, and open new tabs either in the same island or a new island. As someone who doesn't keep tabs open all the time I don't use islands, but I'm in the minority there.

You can goto the URL opera://settings/content/all, type the site's domain in the search field and click "Delete displayed data".

@sgunhouse said in Clearing cookies by site?:

while on the site click on the icon in the address bar

                              Which icon?
From left to right I see back and forward arros, refresh, a lock, then the test url, then snapshot camera; oricact protection shield; bookmark heart; downloads arrow; easy setup thing; and account icon. None of them bring up an informational popup?

@burnout426 This is what I am used to. Thanks. Less obscure than the devloper tools route and more flexible.

Shame this feature that used to be easily and obviously accessible now requires a magic incantation to get to.
