@mixchild I noticed it after opera one R2 unveling
      https://forums.opera.com/post/354280

Personally, I prefer the video popu-out without extra window. But taking into account that the video popup looks spoiled to me after refreshing (at least in Developer), I don't care much how it opens because I don't use it (along with the One version in general).

@mixchild I mean that Opera didn't deliberated changed it, at least as far as I know.

Last time I've checked, it was still creating "another window", but I'll recheck later.

@leocg renders browsers unusable for OBS window streaming/recording and similar processes

@mixchild Let's wait to see if they consider it an issue.

I definitely would be glad to have it as a separate window. Or at least have "feature flag" that allows me to do so.

Used to be able to stream youtube videos properly to discord, as this change has happened it's not possible anymore. I also use an app to resize windows to a proper size (using fancyzones), and that also doesn't work anymore due to it not being it's own window.

                            Did anyone find a fix?

Exactly same use case. Bringing attention to this issue.

I would like to add to this thread. Picture in Picture used to have a separate window and this allowed me to stream it to discord and OBS. Picture in Picture was a huge reason for me to use opera, and without being able to stream it, it forces me to use chrome. It is very unfortunate and this should be seen as a bug. I don't see any reason as to why it wouldn't be a separate window especially when it was before. This began a couple months ago for me.

                                please fix bro 😥😥😥
