      I think it comes from the built-in "Install Chrome Extensions" v2.5.9

      Opera One(version : 111.0.5168.61)
      Système :Windows 10 64-bit
      Version de Chromium :125.0.6422.143

      It appears since previous version 111.0.5168.55 a couple of days ago.
      I tried to remove %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default\Extensions but when I restarted Opera, it has created again the same extensions and I can't find the folder / filename where the extensions index is stored to.

        Same problem with the extension called Material Icons for GitHub but guess it's a problem with Opera, removed the extensions manually from AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default\Extensions but still no difference, the extension is back after restarting opera with the message your extension was disabled because it is corrupted

          @mixchild I installed a Chrome extension enabler (an extension itself I think) a long time ago, is the problem we now have two of them? Should I uninstall mine? Will I make a bigger mess?

            @hucker @hucker let's wait for @kinyo666 and @leocg for the feedback, if this is an issue with opera 111 version itself, hopefully Opera 112(going to be released soon) will fix it

              @hucker The problem is you can't remove the Chrome extension enabler as it is (was?) a built-in module 😞

              Check the extensions in opera://extensions/ and activate the developper mode at top of the page. You can see the id kipjbhgniklcnglfaldilecjomjaddfi and that folder is created right after having Opera restarted (even if you try to remove the extension).

                @hucker @mixchild I think I found a workaround.
                1/ Remove the extension which is corrupted (among Opera)
                2/ Explorer > Right-click on %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\ and uncheck the Read-only flag, click Apply.
                3/ Close Opera and check if any process is still running before restart it

                I have been able to remove Chrome extension enabler \o/

                    @mixchild Just removing the read only setting shouldn't cause any major issues.

                      @leocg But what about this chrome enabler? Should we be removing it? Why are there two if they're both built in?

                        The "Install Chrome Extensions" extension hasn't been needed for a long time and you should not have it installed. Opera has built-in support for the Chrome web store. However, with Opera's built-in support, you should not see any Chrome extension enabler/emulator extension at the URL opera://extensions, even in developer and even if you start Opera with the --show-component-extension-options switch.

                        I would goto the URL opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera and delete everything in the "Extensions" folder in the profile folder for starters.
