Hopefully this one will be the one -

Unfortunately having many issues with this version as well as the prior version, 111.0.5168.55.
Numerous sync issues. Extensions from either the Chrome Webstore or the Opera Store will install but disappear upon next time the browser is opened. I wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the fact I installed 3 different long time extensions only to find them missing later on in the day.
This is on top of website specific issues that Opera can't load or display properly which I sent bug reports about to Opera 2 weeks ago and I've yet to hear back from them. All around disappointing as an Opera user going back 20 years.

Where is it in the email? I'm looking at it right now and it gives no ticket ID other than telling me you have received my bug report.
Additionally, I'm facing a very annoying issue of Chrome and Opera addon/extensions not preserving themselves after being installed. They disappear immediately after I exit and restart the browser. This was not the behavior I saw 2-3 weeks ago when I reinstalled Windows 10.
Initially I'd presumed it was a Sync issue but alas it is not. Even on a brand new install on a completely different computer without signing in the issue is still present. Even manually installing the extensions doesn't work. A user in another thread I started stated that they were seeing a similar issue with bookmarks reverting because files are being locked by opera. Totally bizarre behavior.
And now, as I've reinstalled Opera 10x in the last 24 hours, I've come to find the disable switch for the very loud splash screen is missing. It is not even available in opera://flags.
Other issue now is when I disable the standard behavior of tab switching so that it's more like how tab switching works with mouse shortcuts in other browsers it reverts back to the default method of last active tab that Opera has shipped with for many years now. I'm not sure why I need to set me settings every time I restart my browser all of a sudden.
EDIT: In addition, contrary to claims by people on here the splash startup is now happening all the time, regardless of whether there has been a major revision update or not, e.g. 110 to 111.
And now every time I exit the browser, I'm signed out and my bookmarks disappear. As I sign in, they come back. On computers where I have never signed in, the bookmarks disappear and come back every few restarts of the browser. I don't know what's going on with Opera but it's gone downhill in the last few months with the amount of bugs that people seem to be reporting on.

I quite literally used my bookmarks at 5 AM this morning and now they're gone. I just signed in, turned Sync on for the 30th time and now after a few minutes they're back. Until Opera decides I'm not signed in and wipes my user profile again. And again. And again.
Oh, and each time it loses my passwords permanently. I now have to resort to using a browser extension on a competing browser to copy and paste my logins because Opera will remember them until it doesn't. And I can't install said extension on Opera because Opera automatically removes it non-stop as soon as I quit the browser.

@at2025 Almost all your issues sound like a corrupted profile and or a problem writing to files in your profile. This really sounds like something Opera can't fix itself. You'll probably have to rename the "Opera Stable" folder in both "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Opera Software" to "Opera Stable old" so that new ones are created and then test with that fresh profile that's created. Then, if things work fine there, you'll have to test if enable Sync messes things up again or not. If so, you'll probably have to wipe out your Sync data and wipe out your profile again.
Also, make a test standalone installation to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop and see if changes as saved there. They definitely should be unless there's something messed up with your user account on your computer (which is also something Opera can't fix itself).

@burnout426 Did all that, problem still persists. The problem persists on all brand installations of Opera on computers that have never had Opera installed on them and persists on brand new installs of both Windows 10 and Windows 11. With no sign in and no importing of any data from my desktop. All is done with an administrator account on local accounts, not MS accounts. There's no importing of inherently 'bad' or 'corrupt' data.
If it is indeed a so-called corrupt profile, then the issue lies within Opera's own programming because there is no other explanation for a profile to self corrupt on a brand new Windows install without third party AV, power outage/service interruption, with nothing connecting my desktop profile to a fresh new install using the latest available Windows. Or the fault lies with Microsoft.
