@leocg Okay, now I understand. It isn't about the download process, just about if I am accepting Opera's cookies for that page! So naturally, I will not have any kind of correspondence in my Opera browser's setting. Thank your for persevering with my misunderstanding. Now I get it. I guess that I am so paranoid about Opera setting cookies or not, that I jumped to the conclusion that that pop-up had something to do with downloading the update/version. It is simply a common page cookie acceptance/or not thing, and has no implication for the download and installation of Opera.

@xb70 That's normal and has nothing to do with the installer and nothing to do with the downloads specifically. It's the Opera site that shows that per EU regulations. You can get that by going to just https://www.opera.com. Lots of sites show the prompt due to EU regulations.
Your choice for that prompt is stored in a cookie for opera.com. While on opera.com, hit ctrl + shift + i to open the developer tools, switch to the "Application" tab (hidden by ">>"), left-click on "Cookies" in the left-hand pane to expand it, select cookies for
https://www.opera.com/
, and look at thecookie_consent_essential
cookie and its value. Same with thecookie_consent_marketing
cookie and its value. So, as long as you don't clear your opera.com cookies, you won't get that prompt every time.
You can of course just download the installers from https://ftp.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/ for example if you want.

@burnout426 I routinely manually clear all cookies upon shutdown every night wherever Windows tries to hide them--I am aware of three such folders, so not an issue. I was just being way paranoid about Opera's desire to set cookies. My bad.

I have installed 104.0.4944.33 on my second Windows 10/64 computer, and it went without loss of personalization. FWIW.

Who will give me an answer? In the Opera mobile browser, on the main screen, there are bookmarks (which I added myself) that I later deleted myself. Why do they keep reappearing? How can I get rid of this?

@rogguzlan you are in the wrong forum. This is for the desktop version of Opera.
This is the mobile forum.
