@mathias87: What question? What are workspaces? In the sidebar at the top are the workspaces. See https://www.opera.com/features/workspaces

@multiwebinc Wow... This question: Can I install 102.0.4880.29 now, being 1000 % sure that Opera will "take over" everything mentioned?

@multiwebinc: Ok, it turns out the other tabs were "there"... just the actual workspaces themselves got reset to defaults, so the tabs were inaccessible since they were registered to a nonexistent workspace. Clicking the search tabs icon and entering in one of the tabs from an unavailable workspace could find them and when I selected it, the browser crashed. When it restored, all of the tabs were moved to the main workspace. So at least now I can set up my workspaces again and move the tabs back.

@mathias87: Back up your profile directory and give it a try. If it fails, downgrade Opera and restore your old profile directory.

@multiwebinc I'm not that fond of doing things like this.
I will just wait for other comments. But I think I'm in this group: "3. Users who updated to 102.0 but had issue and returned to 101.0 will use old profile from 101.0. Their clean/reset Default will be moved to Default.old. Profile will be migrated later."

@multiwebinc If you save the tabs in each workspace as a speed dial folder, it's very easy to restore if something happens. It's a bit of work but there's no mental exertion.

@sergiykos: Also moving tab groups between workspaces crashes the browser.

@spike666: I use the addon Session Buddy. It automatically saves all of your tabs and it's definitely saved me quite a few times. The only thing it doesn't support are workspaces, so if you restore your lost tabs, you have to manually move them to the other workspaces.

My version crashed when I closed the final tab in one workplace although the other workspace had already tabs open.
Also, Telegram in the sidebar was resized from the width I had chosen to a much wider margin. -

With the previous version, I added a workspace (my 13th) and an earlier one was deleted, with no confirmation.
With this update, the most recent workspace has disappeared and the original has reappeared.
Debian build, without the profile issues reported for the last release. -

@sergiykos: I turned off the settings related to tab groups, and the browser stopped crashing.

Is this version completely bugged? Mines been stuck on 101.0.4843.43 and says no updates.

Each time I launch the Opera browser, I see and hear the Opera company's start logo.
Every time I start the Opera browser, I encounter the VPN Pro error. I don't have a VPN Pro account, but I see this message every time I launch it. -

@polux2 said in Opera 102 Stable Update:
"Show Start page button" option in the settings is not translated (at least into Czech), but anyway, thanks for listening to user feedback!
No German either. After all, it's there, language doesn't matter.

@rogguzlan Hi, the splash screen issue being visible on every start is now fixed. For the VPN, could you send the screenshot what is this error message exactly? Thanks.

@kmielczarczyk Thank you. No problem nevertheless.
But I'm experiecing another problem with workspaces, although I think it's a Mac only issue:
Closing the last tab in one workspace leads to closing the whole app, even if I have another workspace where there are tabs still open.
This hasn't been there before the latest update. -
