Opera 93 Missing Search/Copy/Snapshot Popup Over Text

I should have read more threads, because I just started (and deleted) a thread about this very problem. I use a portable version. The last version of Opera that actually worked reliably was version 90.0.4480.54. I guess I'll stick with that until they finally get the new one working again. I won't hold my breath though.

I can confirm here too in 93.

But in 95 Developer seems to be working fine.

It was fixed in 94 version yet

Just got the same problem, right after installing v93.0.4585.21. Really annoying.

After updating to 93, I have the same problem. However, the ONLY site that the popup over text feature works is imdb.com, I do hope they can fix it.

Please check something out. It does not work on IMDB's main pages (actors, movies), but if you go to a subpage (trivia, release dates) that still have the older design, it does!

@ghadhika I just checked, the popup works on the main movie page as well as the trivia and goof page.

it works now on Opera windows 93.0.4585.21, but the observation is that It doesn't work at:
x this webapge
x yahoo news homepage

One thing interesting is that for yahoo news, the pop-up saerch/copy menu appeared first, but no longer showed up after a while the page was loaded.

I run Opera 93.0.4585.21 on Win10 64bit. I noticed several web pages where Search pop-up menu is not appear at all. And I give you few examples, to try it on your own:

Just select a text there, and you'll see the search pop-up doesn't appear.

93.0.4585.21 on Win11. This and unit/currency converter are totally gone. This is one of the most useful functions of Opera. Please fix this. I don't want to use a 3rd party extension for this

@excx besides that, you can try highlight any text in the setting page. this function should work too if it's there.

@excx that sounds like my experience. I didn't bother to disable all extensions to see if that's where conflict arise. Please feel free to try and it'd be appreciated if you'd share any further observations. Or let's wait and hope for another release will resolve this! fingercross

@excx It works on some sites, but this is really a bug. It is fixed already in 94 (Beta) version.

My opera just updated itself to 93.0.4585.37, the problem is better, works on more websites than before but still a number of them do not respond. e,g, this forum and BBC News. Out of the previous site given by flaviu2 , i.e.

@bbildman for me also, from 2-3 stable versions. In my case by 2 specific scripts in Violentmonkey. I had exactly the same scripts a month ago and there was no problem with search pop-up.

My proposals for changes in Opera (Google Document).
- There are not enough signs to put all the links here.

Same here on 93.0.4585.37, definitely needs fixing.
