beside there are some text that are not plain text but graphical text which needs a screen reader to read and interpret it e.g an app call "fooView ". -

@conductor Web developers can block copying text with Javascript or CSS. On the desktop there are ways to get around it with extensions, view source or developer tools but those options don't seem to be available in any mobile browser.
You could try Reader mode as that seems to disable Javascript and CSS. If that doesn't work try saving the page as a PDF and finding a PDF viewer app that lets you copy text.

@sgunhouse I have the same problem with Opera and Android 12. This page, for example: https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Дело_Владислава_Синицы. After I select a word, the context menu doesn't appear, only the "handles". Opera 67.1.3508.63168, Samsung Galaxy S21. @slim-shaggy I discovered by accident that you must then hold down the selected fragment and the menu appears

@conductor Thanks, I was going to change opera to firefox, but firefox for android in my opinion doesnt work smoothly like opera. I hope somebody should fix it
