@oskarwik: ctrl+1 still working for me (Opera dev/Ubuntu). Maybe the shortcut is disabled in your settings?

i have to confess, I prefer it clean and simply: No address bar dropdown! So as long as I can disable it, it's fine with me :-).

The only thing i need is disabling options for whatever you 're thinking. Just be careful while you keep adding new stuff not to end with a heavy (cpu & memory eating) browser.

Frame the address bar using a physical frame, or gradient, so its easy to focus on and make button icons within the optional inclusions that are user-selectable. Thank you.

BTW, Opera has a bug in URL bar list which annoys me quite a bit when I'm using browser a little bit faster. When you click the URL bar, the addresses from history and prompts appear and then, when you hover over the list, then you have to sometimes hover over multiple times as at first it doesn't recognize properly the position of cursor and highlights bad addressess.

When you first introuced the enhanced address bar, it was basically a speed-dial-pop-up. I really liked it that way and would love the option, to return it to that state. (Use case: replace current tab with a speed dial entry)

Top sites are sometimes useful but should never suggest URLs from an existing tab (maybe filtered on current workspace, to be defined).
Since thumbnails are not always accurate, I suggest to always provide the title.

                        Recent bookmarks are definitely useful
Maybe suggest a built link to search the last copied text with default engine: like the Search tool on selection, but asynchronous

In the beta, I have links to bookmarks & history, which I find useful, although I have them in the sidebar.
Speed dials are useless here, IMO. If I want them I ask for the home page instead of focusing the address field. Recent ones would be in recent bookmarks also.

I hope Speed-dial webpage will be added to pulldown of addressbar like Opera 12. I liked this feature. Useful!

Actually I don't need shortcuts in address bar, because I have sidebar and toolbar buttons.
I'm not even sure whether SD pages should be there but if you want to add them, add only the most-visited SD pages.

I'd to see in the drop-down sidebar bigger section with recently closed pages - at least six. So there could be six recently closed, three "Visit Again" and three shortcuts.
