No Music Player Feature in Opera GX 72

Music player was the spotlight feature of Opera 72, and after all the waiting (Opera went on to 72 a month ago, 73 last week and 74 going stable soon, you finally ported 72 to GX) 72 arrives but WITHOUT the music player?

How come? Can you at least tell us whether it will be implemented soon?

Yes, you can activate it that way, but it doesn't show any services like Spotify or Apple Music. So maybe they still need time to implement it into Opera GX.

@leocg I enabled the flag and the player appeared on my sidebar, but it doesn't have any buttons or any way to interact with it, it just shows this static page. How can I configure it to play from Spotify? Player settings (under Opera settings) also don't provide any option for this.

@jhonny2003 Not an issue to be fixed, the feature is just not yet ready in Opera GX.

Hello, I'm an Opera and Opera GX user. However this is my first topic and suggestion for the two browsers that I am most enjoying using, however I lacked something in Opera GX that has in normal opera, the "music player" that is in the sidebar where I can log in with the account spotify, youtube music etc ...

- As Opera GX is a browser for gamers or something, it lacked this function because no two gamers usually listen to music while playing to inspire us and make us even more comfortable, the design of this browser is very beautiful but the lack of this recurs left something to be desired, so I come to ask you to add this function, thank you in advance.

@maak28 Yes, you are right we need this feature as it will be
very helpful. However, we can still try the flag suggested, and
wait for the Music player feature in Opera GX as it gets ready.

my spotify plugin doesnt work it says errror try refreshing the page only if i turn on vpn the player loads spotify correctly with my playlists

@sgunhouse my bad sry it worked by the way i had hosts files blockig the ads of spotify wich wouldnt let me acces it lol
