White screen 'flashbang' when opening pages

Has there been any solution for this? No other browser has this issue. Google Chrome, Brave, Edge Chromium, Firefox, all have found some workaround to this. @Pebbles1980 did you find a solution? This is very very annoying and genuinely hurting eyesight when working late into the night.

HI mate,
Funny you post this, as I looked again yesterday to find nothing. Its still unnecessarily annoying. Can we please have confirmation that a Developer is looking into this?

@Pebbles1980 I doubt it, considering this hasn't been fixed for so long now. And if it differs user to user like I read above, it's unlikely that this will have a higher priority in the bug fixing agenda. Will have to stick with Edge chromium it seems. I have been trying to shift to opera since the last 6 months or so. It's always this very issue that stops me from porting.

I found multiple posts on Opera forums regarding the white screen flashbang occurrence while loading URLs. There has been no response from the Developers ins pite of the high number of posts. Does somebody know if they are working on it or not?
Does anyone know if there is a workaround to fix this issue please? -

Hopefully they'll do something about it.
What if they have it white if your browser is light theme and a black screen if in dark theme. -

@benclendon I have my browser on dark theme and I use the dark reader extension as well to make my webpages dark. This is not a theme, more of a rendering issue it seems, because no other browser that I have used has this problem. Inspite of using the chromium engine.

It certainly would be good to get a reply from a dev, atleast indicating its a error, and someone is working on it?
Even opening this thread results in having to look away for a few seconds while its loading. The Irony. -

@Pebbles1980 There are several attempts of fixing it in the latest versions.

@leocg Currently on the Opera Beta version just to see this fix as early as possible. Would have been great if there was an ETA, but atleast it's being worked on.

@leocg just a minor question, is this fix going to be available for Opera GX as well or that will be implemented much later?
-

@jenabaivab GX probably already has some of the fix attempts.

@leocg I used GX yesterday, and it wasn't fixed. It was the updated version as well.

@jenabaivab Because there don't seem to be a definitive fix yet, just attempts.

I too have this problem. It's so annoying and painful especially at night.
Everything was great in 67 version but after 67 version (68, 69, 70, 71 versions) something was broken. After all this time there's no fix. Seems it's time to another browser hopping. -

@zerescas Same. Can't work anymore with so many flashes. And it's the brightest shade too. Resorting to Edge Chromium now till a fix arrives at least.
