I think unlike desktop versions Opera Mobile doesn't store passwords but when requested tries to connect opera servers and retrieve passwords everytime. That's why it waits so much time to fill password field. Than when you quit Opera you lose passwords and this process repeats itself. Am I wrong? If that's the case please reconsider to store passwords to phone itself like other browsers do.

@tarakbumba As far as I know, Opera for Android stores passwords.

That was my only guess. Otherwise, why chrome and other chromium based browsers don't have this issue? Why we have to wait to passwords be autofill? Sometimes I had to wait 3 to 5 minutes to login a Web page via auto fill password feature

@tarakbumba Here the password field is filled as soon as I enter/select the username.

@opera39x This is right the topic. Look at OP.
@leocg I mean both of username and password field. Do you wait for username field to be autofilled? Because I do here. If you want you can watch how it behaves from my screenrecord

Can you try this?
- (Desktop Opera) Log into Desktop Opera with your account
- (Desktop Opera) Check your password from Settings
- (Mobile Opera) Check if you are logged in
- (Desktop Opera) Go to sync.opera.com and log in with your account
- Click "Reset sync data" and "Yes, reset sync data" Don't worry your data is still saved
- (Mobile Opera and Desktop) You are automatically logged out, so log in again
- Check passwords
I hope the above will solve the problem. Note: there is a bug about passwords are not showing up immediately if you check from Settings > Passwords. So, please wait for 30 seconds or more

The error still persists, not showing saved passwords.
Site in settings saved password is blank:
