What link? There are some links involving javascript that can't be opened that way.

@sgunhouse when you make a search you obtain many links. It will be very useful open them in a new tab and mantein the search tab open. It works that way in Chrome,Firefox,Yandex and Vivaldi, (for the same search) but NOT in Opera. In Opera the links are opened in the same tab of the search and you loose the search results.

Even if you use open link in new tab?

Some search engines let you set up if a link will be opened in a new or in the same page when clicked. Have you checked it?

@leocg of course I click open in a new tab. Same search,same search engine. (duck duck go). Different browser's behavior.

Here if I use open in a new tab, the link does open in a new tab.

There is a Chrome extension available that might help ... "Right Click Opens Link New Tab Correct Order".
