Can't install extensions in Opera 46.0

I have a fresh installation of Opera 46.0 on a computer which has never had any previous version of Opera installed. However, when trying to add extensions I receive the following error message:

An error occurred when installing the extension: Installation failed

Further information:

This only occurs on 64-bit Windows 10, not Windows 7, 64- or 32-bit, suggesting that Opera 46.0 is not 100% compatible with Windows 10 64-bit.

Or maybe there's something wrong with your installation.

Does it happens with any extension?

I have Windows 7 32 bit and I can't install extensions either. I could at first but now I can't for some reason. I also can't install themes.

Could you do following:

• go to page with failing extension installation
• right click on 'Add to Opera' button
• from context menu choose 'Save linked content as'
• after .nex file is downloaded drag and drop it onto Opera

This should probably also fail but hopefully there should appear some toolbar with detailed informations

No problems with Windows 7 64 bit.

Where do I find the extension folder. There is nothing to click in settings to view, edit, delete, add extensions.. So I am wondering is it a file hidden in the Opera exe folder?

In Opera's profile folder. See Menu > About Opera for the path.
