As a forum moderator, do you have direct contact with Opera Developers?
Nope.
Interesting. Are you a paid Opera employee or a community member chosen to moderate these forums?

Second option. If i was an Opera employee i guess i would have access to developers.
Gotcha.

I'm having the opposite problem. When I open Opera Developer 39 (the latest update, whatever it is), there's no VPN button, but the VPN seems automatically switched on in the normal windows. I'm in the UK but previously set it to Netherlands, and it's stuck on Netherlands so I can't watch the BBC. To do so I have to open a Private window with VPN switched off!

My vpn was not working on one pc with avast antivirus, I then disabled avast, then the vpn immediately started working. I then uninstalled avast and enabled windows defender and the vpn is still working fine.

I believe the problem is caused by Avast's SecureLine VPN component. I did the following and now Opera's VPN works:
- Open Avast from the system tray.
- Click on the Settings cog in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Tools from the menu on the left.
- Disable SecureLine VPN.
- Reboot.

Had the same problem. When you upgrade you have to reactivate VPN in settings.

The main reason I started using Opera again was for the VPN. It has been broken since the last update, a few weeks ago. I might as well go back to Chrome...
