  @leocg Thank you. The “My flow” icon went away, but the other icons are solidly in place and refuse to budge. I never would use any of those icons. I can’t understand why they would be considered needed in that location.

  😏 Incidentally, the opposite is the case in the private mode of Opera GX, where the normal tab and the private tab are almost identical.
  It is then difficult to be sure that it is really the private mode.

  But please don't introduce a white address bar in the private mode of Opera GX...please, 🙌🏼 please don't

  Indeed, it now late 2024, and the white address bar in dark theme private mode persists.

  I do hope that this can be changed to black soon.

  Many thanks to all who have commented on this, and many thanks in advance (I hope!) to the developers who will hopefully fix this someday!

  @trissytanman Are you on Mac? There is a known issue, already mentioned here, about dark mode not working in MacOS if you have Increase Contrast feature enabled.

  @fixyoshit Dark theme not working on Mac is a know issue.
  Disable the Increase Contrast feature in system settings for now.

  @kskwin yup I created a request here , tghe TitleBar and AddressBar are too big on my laptop screen, lead to less space for web browsing.

  @somebody2978, I have an opposite experience - on the same old computer with Win7 and pretty little RAM, system showed "not enough memory" error much more frequent with Chrome than with Opera. And about functionality - 1. from the box there is more, 2. more settings in opera, 3. many little and thought through details that make your life easier (like "copy" option when you select a word with a mouse).
  Sometimes chrome lacks basic stuff - I remember there wasn't an option to assign a shortcut to Settings in Chrome, and it was such a pain in the neck, especially in the beginning, when you adjust the browser to your needs and go to settings every five minutes. Haven't used it for a while now, maybe they've fixed it, but I doubt that - wouldn't be Google if they did 🙂

  Try "Supermium". I understand that it is faster than Chrome and Opera on Win7, I have not tried it but I have seen tests on YouTube.

  @mystico I see that they seem to work in Opera Developer 112, so it's something in Opera 111 that broke it.
