@gmiazga problem here is after unannounced update to Opera One just one of my two open windows has survived and all tabs (1000+) from all workspaces (23) but the first one have disappeared. 🤦♂

Solution;

Go to this address opera://flags

Search for #scrollable-tab-strip and select Enabled

It worked out, but it is not as usable as before. So looking forward to Opera to get this tweaked with the next updates. But in the end - this option makes me able to use opera again without frustration.
Can't close several tabs in a row by just clicking on the X

That setting is to enable/disable tabs islands being created automatically when you open a link from a tab in a new one.

@anky Not possible. What you can disable is the automatic creation of tab islands.

wouldn't get rid of the tabs smeared across the tab bar though.

There still are funny Japanese translate "タブ島" in Right click menu. These menu are "Make tab-islands" and "Take this tab out from tab-islands".

And in the menu closeing all tabs in tab-islands, too. I think it is good to translate this menu "アイランドを閉じる".

@bogdanmlk Yeah, hovering over it with a mouse or using a touchpad is not the same and is useless if my wrists are playing up. A deal-braker indeed. I might reluctantly go back to Waterfox unless that fix that soon.
