Yeah i've been facing the same issues, might have been an update or an extension or what ever but after a settings wipe and reinstallation it still didn't fix. Try doing those things and if they dont work pray opera fixes it.
I have absolutely the same problem. It seems to me that this is due to the restriction function of RAM\CPU, I think the developers need to look in this direction. For example, make programmatic ignoring RAM restrictions when closing the browser so that it can easily manipulate RAM at the time of closing the browser and preserving all spaces.
It's very awful problem, I really think about changing the browser because of this.
