It takes too long to load fully these pages with Opera Mini (j2me). Too long in my book means more than 20s and that's also the maximal background illumination for a broad variety of j2me devices.

After clicking "Approve" the page again shows warning..its horrible..for each external link with ssl it shows warning.Also some websites which was trusted earlier can't open in anyway..

I find it's almost always related to embedded ads. If the page is taking a while to load, I stop it. I usually have the entire page for reading, even if the pics and ads don't load.

This is mainly a users' forum and although a few Opera employees comes by sometimes, you should not expect a reply from them.

Reporting the issue from within Opera Mini would be more helpful for them rather then just post it here.

It would help if we knew which version of Opera you're using (phone or tablet) and on which OS.

Opera Mini New (the native version) on Android 4.4. Some search engines can be added (e.g. Bing) by long pressing on the search box, but none of the secure ones that I've tried (Startpage, Duckduckgo, etc.) show any "add search engine" option when you long press on the search box, and there seems to be no other way to add them (or to edit the URL of any search engine).
clarification request - is non https traffic transmitted in the clear from mini servers to clients?

Not sure if it's all encrypted. But the traffic FROM Mini servers to a Mini client is compressed using proprietary technology so I guess it's as good as encryption 😉

True, but I'm not sure proprietary formats are necessarily difficult to read... I hope that yeswap is right in this case 🙂
