  Not sure. Maybe in the first post I felt like writing in some odd verbose manner just to wax poetically?

  I do hate giving up on Opera. I was talking to another computer blog guy and he suggested looking into the investors. Perhaps they are investors who I share a kindred spirit with for human rights, etc. If so - I could keep Opera. Hm?

  I have dipped in and out of Opera for years now 👴 And I've just started using it on a more permanent basis.... As far as I'm concerned ( and I'm not really) it's the lesser evil. Maybe their halo has slipped a bit, but compared to some of the other browsers it's positively angelic 😇

  what is your os? it didn't happen to me on macOS. you can report a bug.

  I have disabled it in the settings but it still appears on the top bar

  I had the same thing. this should be a feature request. it looks like a ui design mistake.

  Speed Dial suggestions coming back on whenever they want to

  again I never had this problems in macos. I believe it's a windows specific thing, so I'm not sure if it's because of opera. did you disable receive promoted speed dials and bookmarks and show speed dial suggestions. this is not an issue on macos version. please try reporting a bug.

  Google had a similar stance too. They promote adblockers that block ads from others except their own. They just make the point that their ads are non-intrusive.

  I don't think your comment was appropriate but I have stated the facts of my "experience" with Opera both in the past and present. I am not seeking attention just stating my comments. As for Opera it is now only on one computer, in the household and when/if it gets removed permanently from that one too I will cease to have need to write to this forum.

  version 7.51.1 may not work on my phone, so I installed netflix apk version 7.52.0, and it worked.

  @burnout426 none of these suggestions have really helped to fix all the issues I'm having. I took my time going through each suggestion, working with them for a few days but still having issues in one way or another. Some previous issues have seemed to work themselves out, not sure how or when or if it was the site or opera for fix. But new issues keep appearing (example: youtube shows an error when clicking on a video, but video eventually plays after a few seconds - something I've never seen before). I can now open amazon & prime (but prime freezes my computer while watching videos. No other video site does this and prime only does it in opera). With new facebook layout I can now look a pictures (this issue may have been all on facebook, but I could open them in chrome at the time). I'm not sure why I'm having so many different issues, they seem to just start happening about a month ago.

  @charlikelliher Usually it boils down to the nature of the socio-political environment in a given country. Nations with authoritarian governments or rigid religious control over governments tend to place more restrictions on both what citizens may communicate and what they may access from outside the national borders. In your article, all the listed nations that restrict VPNs in some way fall into such categories. A few of those nations that block their own citizens from downloading/importing VPNs still allow visitors (particularly business travelers) having their own computers to access their installed VPN's connection IPs, but making such connections sometimes can be unreliable.

  @sgunhouse Hi, there was an issue in the Bookmarks sidebar where bookmarks were not showing.
  There were issues with syncing, freezing, and unresponsive behaviour after 5-10 mintues or sometimes just unresponsive on start where you cannot click anything.

  Thanks and will check what the update entails. I wish they would put a change log link directly in Opera > About section.
