Even this forum is ridiculous. I put in a comment, above, and, now, it's telling me I have to put in more comments. Whatever. I'm only using Opera because an application at our company won't work with Safari. I'm tempted to just go back to Safari and only use Opera in certain circumstances.
The above response is a bit cryptic, but essentially correct. In version 38, your speed dial entries are contained in the "Bookmarks" file, in the Win7 user's <AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable> folder. Copy it over to the same folder on your new machine. Then run Opera and look in the bookmarks manager (just click on the heart on the start page). Look under "Other Speed Dials" and you'll find a folder with your old machine's name that has all your speed dial entries in it. Click on it and they will all appear in the right pane. Select them all, then drag them to the "Speed Dial" folder.
Leo was trying to figure out why it was in the Synchronization forum.
There are several threads in the Opera for Windows forum about missing buttons on Microsoft sites, some people speculating MS is intentionally feeding Opera bad data again (they did this before, about 10 years ago).
As this thread is essentially a duplicate of those threads and is in the wrong forum, it will be closed.
Sync working good earlier, version 37.0.2178.54, and i can see ma data. I havent speed dial in fav, just few links. More want to sync, all login data disappear. Opera just cant sync all of files. Topic is for delete, i find appdata folders in backup and copy manualy.
The problem is that while start-up browser is always being closed due to mistake occured and restarts. The full reset only helped. Before this issue appeared the different manipulations with bookmarks were held using another PC.
i can't believe after all these years we still cannot remove old devices. it's quite pathetic. i have phones that were 2 phones ago on there as well as old pcs showing up in tabs.

Jeah, same Problem...i can write here so i logged in?? ..but when i want synchronise i have to log in second time??..and then i become message...server temporary fail...i dont understand what is happening!!!
Hi jonathanwylie, I have a similar problem (you may have seen my post) but I can see the reset sync page so I am currently trying a reset and I will let you know the results via this forum. So now it says I have no sync data stored and please login to sync. I login and the little icon (top right corner of the window shows a green tick but a few seconds later it disappears. When I go to the Opera menu in the tool bar I see I am logged in and when I click on that identity the little icon with the green tick reappears but again only for a few seconds. I now believe this is normal behaviour.
I finally have all my bookmarks synced accross both devices. It seems that each time I revisit the https://sync.opera.com/web/# site a little more is synced. Initially this page only showed 1 device after three tries it now shows 2 devices.
My guess is this is about connectivity, refreshing the sync page over and over seems to have worked for me but I note that Passwords and Preferences are greyed out. I notice in Preferences>Browser>Advanced Configuration there are encryption options, either using Opera credentials or a Passphrase. I did wonder what this "Passphrase" referred to on the Sync page was but this explains it. I am now wondering if I was to setup a passphrase would my Passwords and Preferences sync as well because they certainly have not so far.
jonathanwylie, I hope you can open the page above and try what i suggest. Reply if you still have a problem
