Open YouTube in a new tab, click on the three dots at the top right, select "Install YouTube as an app," and then use the app to play videos in the background. Moreover, you can use the extension "Enhancer for YouTube" to achieve background playback.
@healingcross As there's no answer whatsoever, I hope, loading up a screenshot will clarify, what I mean:Screenshot_20240110_075835_Opera.jpg
So as you see, I could easily reproduce it. But it happened to appear with other items and search engines, too. So it rather must be something peculiar to Opera.
Seems to be the same issue here: https://forums.opera.com/topic/67548/unwanted-redirect
Any answer is welcome.
@julijarrr This is my other account, I don't know my email for the other one. But no, i gave up and I think it can't. So you either use opera gx on mobile or opera on desktop as well, at least that's what I found.
In mobile browsers like Opera, achieving fullscreen mode is typically done through gestures or options within the browser interface, as there are no traditional keyboard shortcuts like on a desktop.
Here's how you can activate fullscreen mode in Opera on your mobile device:
Open O
Opera and go to the webpage you want to view in fullscreen.
Tap on the Opera icon (O) to access the menu.
Tap on the Opera icon (O) to access the menu.
Look for an option related to fullscreen or immersive mode.
@leocg Interesting. I would say they just as annoying and do get in between you and the web page. The example there shows a smaller one. Others are not too much bigger, but are still an annoyance, especially when other browsers can be set to not allow them. I hope that this choice can be added to Opera in the future. Browsing doesn't get much better, in my opinion, than on the under recognized Opera browser. It may be things like this that have banking sites and such that suggest, upon loading their sites, to download Chrome, or Firefox. Maybe they view the browser as too easy to manipulate, along with their obvious Fanboy behavior towards these other browsers. There is always room for competition and one of the reasons I use Opera and Vivaldi. Both do a great job at providing a good user experience. But... I lean towards Opera for my everyday more mundane uses and some safer exploring. I hope you can widen the field, so to speak.
In any event thanks for a great Browser.
I'm not getting error but it's not syncing passwords. I had the password sync off in the past, but turned it on many times and tried everything, then it finally started syncing something few month ago, but not passwords. What is wrong here? There is not encryption on the account and no other way to get the passwords then resetting each one. Iwas going to change a phone but new phone is just laying at home two months, since I am unable to get any passwords from opera. Half of it is unique=I dont have it in any other browser..
@toastedlion tbh I have not/ afraid to try with Opera, when I had issues I downloaded the linkedin app and am using that now. Hope you resolve your problem. Mine went away after several hours.
