I previously filed a feature request for this as DNA-120546, so I definitely agree this would be awesome.

See https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/1ga53oz/comment/ltbwpwt/ for a workaround. That should work if you don't have too many synced tabs. If you have a lot though, that workaround will crash Opera.

@leocg Ah, Chrome password generator works on another page. I guess it didn't detect it was a password field on the last page I tried.

But they are not the same. Opera always uses lower and upper case letters only. Chrome randomly uses a mixture of numbers, symbols, lower case, upper case. Although sometimes there is no number and the site won't accept it, it's better.

So Opera is not using it, or not using it the same way.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Your suggestions make a lot of sense, especially the ability to customize topics and adjust update frequency. Bringing back some features from previous versions could definitely improve the user experience. Hopefully, the team considers these ideas in future updates!

@sgunhouse Thanks for the reply. I tried that. But having these catagorized section is more convenient. The Opera way makes it really cluttered. Also Opera's thumbnail fetching is a bit different than other chromium browsers. So if I have lets say Gemini and Google and NotebookLM, all of them would have the big G sign of google. Custom thumbnail looks a bit odd

Turned out that this topic`s theme is inherited from chromium basement and can be tuned or disabled by appropriate flag at the opera://flags page. More info is available by the link above.
