Prevent accidental closure of inactive Enhanced Split Screen tabs

I've been using the new Enhanced Split Screen feature in the latest build. While I love the concept, I've run into a recurring issue with the tab's UI.

Currently, the "X" close button appears immediately when you hover over the split-screen tab, even if it's in the background. Because the icon for split tabs is quite compact, the "close" area is right where you'd naturally click to switch back to that group.

I’ve accidentally closed my entire split session multiple times today just by trying to select it. It would be much better if the close button only became active once the tab is already focused, just like standard tabs behave. It would save a lot of frustration for those of us who navigate quickly between many open tabs.
