I would put some of the emphais on developers creating entensions to meet your need. Forget recreating Opera Presto in Opera Bing. The horse is out of the barn on this. It's a totally different concept. Now yes, a few minimal features still need to come -- like a better bookmark manager for importing bookmarks from other browsers, and even for exporting bookmarks. If you are making a wishlist of truly essential features that cannot come via extension, and are necessary even for a minimalist browser, I don't think you are wasting your time, though clearly Opera is divided between developing Coast for Ipad and Ipod -- spectacular product, with wonderful design, still needing tweaking and some features -- Opera for Android (very much related to desktop Opera), and the Desktop Opera. Opera is a small company (and we're talking about essentially free products they are developing, so progress can take some time. i think probably most of what is really needed for desktop Opera is there. Put energy into looking at extensions to meet your additional needs, which may be available now, as extensions in the Chrome or Opera extension stores, or need to be lobbied for as extensions. We need to get developers working on the add-ons that Opera users want.
