When I installed it first, it asked to be updated with the system, I selected yes, but it evidently hasn't been. I've updated again and I'll get back to you if the issue persists
I have test it with a new profile and with the options "Activate", "Deactivate" and "Standard". But nothing helps.
If I reinstall the old dev version (24.0.1543.0) there are no problems -> the font looks good! The problem affects only the new dev version (24.0.1555.0).
No I dont think there was anything wrong with the instructions
The problem I assume is that I am using Opera Next, installed in the folder "Opera Next".
So when I typed in the command line windows cut it of at the space, even tho I used "".
I got it to work by standing in the correct dir and just typing from launcher.exe in Total Commander.
The first page worked fine here. The second did not but it seems to no use flash so i guess it's due to the lack of support for the extension used on the page.
Opera Next is the equivalent of a beta version (a release of a future version to be used for testing to get the bugs fixed before its official release).
There is a "Recently closed" submenu on the Opera menu. Can't really suggest anything about the other questions, sorry.
Just wanted to mention that the extension "modern scroll" can bypass the problem by implementing it's own middle mouse button scrolling. Can even set it to stop at mouse wheel scrolling, like it was in Opera 12.16, which is definitely a plus, too.
As Opera for Windows does not properly support Windows' themes, I doubt it ... they will try to make it look moderately close to native in several of the more popular desktops (though I understand the current release only has a Unity style so far), but they are trying to streamline things to have more speed. If support for theming takes too much away from rendering the page, then they'll skip it. (That's what their comments on themes in Windows come down to, so I'm sure it applies here as well.)
