Thank you. The problem with reading the titles is the light background, on the old Speed dial I use a dark background which makes the script more legible

Sync has connection issues. Give it awhile and it will pass. That is an issue with the server used for sync and not the web browser itself so there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Try to delete 'session.db' and 'session.dbak' files in 'C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable'. I don't know why, but it solved the same problem for me.

I'm a neby! However I am using icons on my speed dial! Perhaps I missed something in reading the above.
If I remember correctly the icons were automatic!

Now, you have to copy the address of the web page, and paste the entire adddress in the "add a site" "add to opera"
page. Boom, an icon comes up!

Not sure this is what you were discussing, but it sure cleaned up my speed dial!

Hi!

First, it's not sure that the 32 bit-version will remain and become stable, as the Opera team in Oslo has been shut down, and now the browser is being developed in Poland, but I hope they will continue support it.

So, regarding the extension page problem; I have the exact same problem that you have. And it was totally random for me, sometimes it worked, and sometimes it looked exactly as it does on the image you provided. But now I think I know what's causing this:

http://dev.opera.com/addons/extensions is broken

http://dev.opera.com/extensions works fine (without "addons/" in the url)

For me it is like this: When you use the first link (that leads to the broken site), you must use Opera developer or beta. If you use Opera stable, firefox, chrome etc, it will just direct to the working (http://dev.opera.com/extensions) site.

Can someone confirm this?

It is so ugly and generic. Opera used to have class. Now it is just generic. Speed dial looks hideous and makes the themes pointless. Ugly... ugly... and windows 8. Why? Why? Why ruin a good product?

I've tried to add this into the Pereferences file
"NavigateDown": ["Down", "J"], "NavigateLeft": ["Left", "H"], "NavigateRight": ["Right", "L"], "NavigateUp": ["Up", "K"]
to make a vim-like key-binding, but it did't work. Anyone knows why?

Plus, I'm interested in that whether it is possible to make a short cut to a line of script, like Opera 12?

Have you tried enabling sync on both and use the same account?

At least bookmarks should sync. Settings and tabs will depend on the version.

Just download the .deb file from opera's site (http://www.opera.com/computer/linux) and install it, during install it will ask you if you want to update opera with the rest of your system and if you choose yes it installs the opera repository for you.
Adding bookmarks has gone wonky in 30.

Do you have opera://flags/#trees-in-bookmarks enabled? If so, then try to disabling it.

Wow, that fixed it right up. Interesting. I haven't added any folders to my bookmarks or anything. Very strange.
