Smooth scrolling

Maybe. But starting Opera this way: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\launcher.exe" --enable-smooth-scrolling is still possible in Opera 21 / 22 and still works. Maybe it reduces the browser's performance so developers removed that option from opera://flags. Anyway, there is no smooth scrolling in Next and Developer...

One year has passed and --enable-smooth-scrolling can still be added to the shortcut in Opera developer 30. Those who have managed to find this topic have been enjoying smooth scrolling ever since. But what about the rest? Isn't it time to make little known option available for all users by turning it into a real setting?

What for? Smooth scrolling works just fine with --enable-smooth-scrolling.
I tried that and didn't work.

Thanks for that information. It might get us closer to an answer of why this little-documented flag has yet to be incorporated as an option for everyone. Maybe it depends on your GPU or operating system.
I guess what I am asking for is for one of the developers to share some insight. While at the same time keeping my fingers crossed that this inquiry won't lead to its removal.

Open the properties of Opera shortcut at task bar, desktop, start menu, wherever you start it from. Under target, at the very end after launcher.exe, add --enable-smooth-scrolling. And please let us know if it works for you.
