  I went to RPMfind, downloaded pepperflash rpm, installed and now Opera 38.X can play flash content again.
  Now Opera sees the "flash" plugin and I can enable that. www.cvinetwork.com allows me to see streaming media again. Again, I am running Mageia 5.x and Opera 38.X However, the wretched Chromium browser still gives me flash player missing error message. I suspect pepperflashplayer.so is not in the proper location.

  Yes, the sync system does not work very well, in the beginning in will work but if you use Opera as your main browser for a while you will notice that it doesn't. I sync between several computers, and my problem is that I almost can't delete bookmarks, when I do it, it will come back later because of the sync system.

  Another thing is that there are some things that aren't synced at all. A big one is Speed Dial. I have to re-create my Speed Dial on every new device I use.

  This was actually a "feature", so one could have separate speed dials at home and at work for example. But it's useless, hopefully they will fix this soon.

  Hi - I hope this isn't too big of a bump.

  I just upgraded to vers 39 Opera (in Linux Mint 17 - 64 bit) and ran into the same thing. An export Bookmarks addon will export them but loses the folder hierarchy.

  I did copy the bookmarks.adr file in my Home folder (the file is hidden - press control H to see them) to have that as a backup. NOTE: I have not yet tried to restore the bookmarks from that file so I don't know for sure if it works. Still, that is the way I backup my email folders (and calendar) in Thunderbird... and that DOES work.

  How much space is below the popup on your screen? It seems to try to leave a little space between the bottom of the popup and the taskbar, but if I move Opera up on the screen it gets bigger.

  Thank you for that clarification, I feared that was the case. I find it sad that companys seem to be in a rush to remove working features, in some misguided effort, to dumb every thing down.

  I'm surprised that no extension writer hasn't stepped up and written an extension that simply fills that need.

  Settings, extensions and bookmarks are stored in ~/.config/opera/, so perhaps you accidentally removed that folder. Perhaps the bookmarks were left because of sync.

  Check for this folder in trash.

  Yes it does - that and uninstalling Opera Developer, upon which I've struggled (and failed) for weeks to get Flash working - and installing Opera stable instead. Thanks! 🙂

  Yes, you should not follow the documentation there, most of it is totally outdated.

  If advanced shortcuts are enabled then you should be able to use either . or / ... but as with old Opera the single-key shortcuts are disabled by default.

  Unfortunately this is only available in windows. However, you can install an extension from the chrome store that adds this functionality. First you have to install the "Download Chrome Extension" from the Opera addons store, and then you can install the chrome extension.

  Found the problem
  Yesterday I've just intalled the plugin JsonViewer (https://addons.opera.com/es/extensions/details/jsonviewer/?display=en). If I disable it, then everything works correctly!
  It seems that the plugin intercepts some of the request and breaks the rendering of the page

  For me it's working. I have no idea if the website uses flash or not, or what codecs are required. With these commands, you can install third-party codecs and H.264:

  sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras sudo apt-get install chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra

  Try to restart Opera and see if it's working. If not, you may have to install flash. Then there are two alternatives, either:

  sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree

  (You may also have to run this command:)

  sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install

  However, right now there are problems with the command above, so if you restart Opera and it still isn't working, try the second alternative instead:

  1. Open software and updates 2. Click "other software" 3. Check "Canonical partners" 4. Click "Close", then "Reload" in the pop-up. 5. Then run this command: sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin

  Then restart Opera.
