  Where did you paste them? On the websites' forms? Then the passwords could be stored as cookies. If you want Opera's password manager to store them, you have to confirm that on every site.

  I don't know where the password file is stored, but probably somewhere here: ~/.config/opera.

  The passwords are also encrypted, so I don't think finding the file will help you.

  Wrong place for forum questions - and if you looked in the correct forum you would see several threads on how bad search in the forums is (most people find it easier to use Google or Bing to search the forums).

  Was VPN disabled again?

  VPN was working very well on both Opera Dev 41.0 and Opera 39.0 until a day or two ago. Now when trying to use VPN it just hangs up when trying to connect but never does actually connect anymore.

  I tested this in Chrome 52 as well (both Opera 39 and obviously Chrome 52 are based on Chromium 52), but there the bug wasn't present, so it seems like an Opera specific bug.

  Also, I use Ubuntu with Unity, so it doesn't seem to be a distro or DE dependent bug.

  I have now resolved this as follows:

  Identified that Pepperflashplugin-Nonfree was Version 21 in Ubuntu repos, as the version of Chromium is 51 and Opera 39 is based on Chromium 52.

  To resolve the issue, I downloaded the .Deb file from the PPA available here:-
  https://launchpad.net/~skunk/+archive/ubuntu/pepper-flash

  Note - at the time of writing the PPA owner has not yet added 16.04 to his PPA, so do not add the PPA but downloading the .Deb file resolves the issue.

  So do I, but my understanding is that it's not currently possible. I've just got used to typing sp. --stefl

  From what I know now, you could even simplify the sp to one letter --say like using an s for Startpage or an x for Ixquick.

  Opera 40.0.2306.0 is the latest update and still the VPN is not working. The VPN is the built-in version and used to work in Xubuntu 16.04. I may try installing PIA which I use on my PC and Android devices.
