  I fixed this problem by disabling hardware acceleration in opera:config. Not an ideal solution because you obviously want to have it on.
  Another potential solution is to use this site: http://pdfmyurl.com/ to save to PDF and then print.

  That did seemed to do the trick. I changed hardware acceleration from a 1 to 0 and it is printing fine so far. Obviously acceleration can cause some problems.

  On Opera Presto you could choose what would happen: play with a plugin, play with a external program, download and so on.

  Most browsers nowadays will try to play the media with a plugin, if there is any enabled. If not, they probably will try to download it or ask if want to open or download the file.

  ... I know IE is constantly trying to force people to use tabs. You can still partially disable them there. In Opera 11.x which I use, tabs can be turned off.

  Not at all trying to be argumentative, but why does running the browser with a linear page sequence in a single window or with multiple windows open seem better for you than running the browser with multiple tabs? I'm honestly curious.

  Someone should write an extension to do that (~_~)

  Open the Extensions Tab from the menu, and add that page to your Bookmarks Bar for quicker access to all of your extensions.

  All of these fairly frequently used tabs like Extensions, History, Downloads, should be on the Speed Dial, instead of on the menu.

  The beauty of the home button is that you can quickly access your "home" page when you are already logged on to the internet at some "other" website. It's one thing to go into your settings and have it "Open a specific page or set of pages" BUT when you are already logged into the internet and wish to return to your "home page" rather than closing and re-opening your browser, you simply click on the home button. Not have a home button, the next best thing is either the extension mentioned by 133t4opera OR bookmarking your home page on your QAB.
