  I forgot to point out [for any others that run the browser as I do], that if I park my cursor on the New Window Task Bar 'tabs', view the thumbnails of all them, drop my cursor to the SECOND FROM THE LEFT, park it on the Red X for that thumbnail... and begin clicking...I will clear all but my Home Page, pretty effortlessly. Had just hoped for something more...'elegant' ?

  If I could have tab stacking back... in ANY browser... I would switch to that browser in an instant.

  Opera 12.17 has tab stacking. If that is not sufficient, then your statement isn't true.

  If you right click in launcher.exe at Opera's install folder and choose "run as administrator" do you get the error message?

  And what happens if you rename Opera's profile folder to start a new one. Does Opera works in this case?

  Display/Hiding images can be done with extension Stylish
  and a UserCSS

  img { content:"" }

  The style can be set for all webpages and activated/deactivated in Stylish button.

  The webpage gets no reload then, thats a plus.

  Ok it was addblock though it says nothing has got blocked @ the site...

  The pic shows for 0.2s then diasappear when addblock is turned in.

  Is accounts.ini missing the feeds account? (there should only be 1 feeds account in there,)

  One way to fix accounts.ini (besides restoring from a backup) is to recreate all the account sections in the exact same order as they were before.

  For example, launch the Opera installer, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "Standalone Installation (USB)" and install. Set up your mail accounts in the exact some order as you did before. And, subscribe to a single feed to create the feeds account in accounts.ini. But, don't subscribe to the feed until the right time. For example, if the feeds account is supposed to be account 3, you'd subscribe to the feed after setting up the first 2 mail accounts.

  Then, close that Opera. You can then use its account.ini to replace yours.

  The catch here is that you have to remember the exact order you did things before.

  For index.ini, what do you see wrong with it specifically?

  The issue if characters change is encoding. The page is using Unicode (UTF-8) while you are set to override the encoding and use a non-Unicode encoding.

  Make sure that menu > Page > Encoding has "Automatic Selection" selected and not some other setting.

  When it's ready.

  There is a 64-bit Chromium now, but Opera has to convert their parts to 64-bit and make sure they work before they'll make it available to users. I'm sure there will be one, but no one can honestly give you a date.

  This is a known bug. It won't be fixed though as Opera Mail is dead.

  For a workaround to avoid the crash, close down Opera Mail and edit the signatureN.txt file in the mail folder (where N is the number for the account as seen in accounts.ini). There, add the HTML markup to load the image.

  I recently started to backup

  Not sure how Symform does it, but in general, you should have any program touching Opera Mail's mail files while Opera is running as it can cause corruption of the mail files (the database for example). So, Symform should only be backing up the files while Opera Mail is closed. Even if Symform doesn't interfere with Opera Mail's reading/writing of of its files, backing up Opera Mail's files while Opera Mail is running will cause the files to be backed up in an incomplete state.

  With that said, if you have a super-recent, *good*, backup of omailbase.dat, that'll probably fix it.
