Oh, I hope they will not mess it up somewhere, when they will be fixing it, cause Im actually using duplicate bookmarks, I have there some identical webpages bookmarked in different folders for organizational reasons.

They are doing some tests in the developer channel.
How much history does Opera store?

from google docs (probably the same for Opera)

It doesn't roll to update out to everyone all at once, it would hammer their servers. Its pushed out over a number of days. If you can;t wait then download the update from the website.

Well you're absolutely right, because it's suddenly started working again now, which it wasn't earlier on!
Maybe Digital Spy did something at their end, I don't know and we'll probably never know.
Now I'm just hoping that it keeps on working!

Final post. I removed all "nice, but not necessary" extensions and kept four that I absolutely need.

Cold startup time is now about 5 seconds. Very acceptable.

lando242, I forgot to mention that I have my swap file in linux set to only 1% and it never gets used, so for my computing needs, having everything in ram works fine.

I having the same problem as well. Anyone know how to update portable edition manually?

Just run the online installer again. If it doesn't recognise that you are using a usb/standalone install, just change the install method.

use Opera 33.0 and apparently it doesn't remember login sessions, meaning that when I exit Opera and half an hour later decide to fire it up again to check something on a forum that I was logged into, I have to log in all over again

Those forum offer an option to keep you logged in and you have enabled it? Do you have cookies and local storage enabled and you keep their data between sessions?
