@theintel Chromium limits history to the past 3 months. Since Opera uses Chromium, it also has that limit.

@averageguy We don't even know if it's Opera doing it.

It can be an extension causing the issue, for example.

It can be also that auto complete is changing the address when you type it
Why don't programs have automatic language translation?

@CNGZHKN Chrome and Edge are owned by Google and Microsoft, who also own translation services.

Anyway, as already said there is a translation feature being tested in Opera One Developer.

@Phasewaves You don't have to sync open tabs if you don't want to. When you enable xync, you can choose what to sync - so don't sync tabs. After that first sync you could then re-enable tabs if you wish.

@ameeer567 Hello Ameeer567. I had been through numerous options, Opera being one of them and could not stop it happening. It only started after a recent Opera update, hence me suspecting it was an Opera problem. I did eventually find the problem in 'setting', but why it should switch itself on without my intervention.
Anyway, sorted now and thanks for your reply.
