  Eh... None of the solutions here work. I'm using Opera 117.0.5408.142, the latest. I have no extensions on, no VPN (there's no VPN section in the advanced preferences at all btw), no third-party VPNs. Just an Opera and an Edge. In the Edge I can open any Cloudflare protected site. In Opera - no. Any solution? Just installed Opera after many years in Chrome and I don't really like the idea of going back,

  Ah, then it is certainly misconfiguration issue - I don't use either sidebar or bookmarks bar 🙂

  @ooperator Opera 95 is a very version and no longer supported.

  You can try making a backup of the content of Sessions folder in Opera's profile directory and, then, play with that folder content to see if you can recover your closed tabs

  @LukaszOpera Such things are referred to as Progressive Web Apps or PWAs, and currently desktop versions of Opera do not support them.

  Try these steps to stop Opera from auto-starting:

  Check Task Scheduler – Open Task Scheduler (Win + R, type taskschd.msc), look for any Opera-related tasks, and disable them.

  Check Registry – Open Registry Editor (Win + R, type regedit), navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, and delete any Opera entry.

  Check Opera Settings – In Opera, go to Settings > On startup and make sure it’s not set to reopen previous sessions.

  Reinstall Opera – If nothing works, uninstall Opera completely and reinstall it without enabling auto-start options.

  You can also use Opera Mail that's built into the old Presto-based Opera Browser suite. You can download it from https://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/win/1218/int/.

  Just like the standalone Opera mail though, there are issues. There's no TLS 1.3 support, there's no oAuth authentication support and certificate and cypher support is very outdated. The standalone Opera Mail also has some crash issues in certain cases. The rendering of HTML messages is also outdated due to Opera Mail using an old rendering engine.

  Besides those things, if you can workaround them, you can still use it.

  Note that Vivaldi now has a built-in mail client that attempts to replace Opera Mail. It's pretty decent and modern.
