Optimizing AI Context: How to create effective custom prompts for technical research?AI tools: Sidebar, Prompts, AI tooltip
I’ve been exploring the integration of Aria and the custom AI prompts in the Opera One sidebar to streamline my research workflow. While the default prompts are excellent for quick summaries, I’m curious if anyone has developed a "prompt library" or specific structures that work well for digesting complex technical documentation?
I am particularly interested in:
• Context Preservation: How do you ensure the AI doesn't lose critical versioning or configuration nuances in long threads?
• Multi-step Research: Has anyone found a way to link multiple sidebar prompts for a more continuous research session?
• Formatting: Tips for getting the output in specific formats (like Markdown or JSON) directly from the sidebar.
Looking forward to seeing how the community is pushing the boundaries of these built-in AI features! -
RE: Run as administratorOpera for Windows
@bicthechick Right-click your Opera shortcut, go to Properties > Compatibility, and check the box that says 'Run this program as an administrator'. That will force it to launch as admin every time.

RE: [Suggestion]Let me set Google as default search engineOpera GX
@AKELA21 Ah, that’s annoying. Just to be sure—did you check Task Manager to make sure every Opera process was killed before editing? Sometimes it silently overwrites your changes if a background process is still running. If you did that and it still failed, yeah, they might have patched it.

@AKELA21 You likely have a region-locked version of the browser, so you'll need to edit the "Local State" file in your user data folder to force Google back as an option.

RE: My youtube stay in white mods no matter what I doOpera GX
This sounds like a conflict between Opera GX’s Force Dark Pages feature and YouTube’s own dark theme or a third-party extension, so the best fix is to disable Force Dark Pages for YouTube specifically, remove any dark-mode extensions, then reload YouTube and re-enable its native dark mode from settings.
