@leocg
The opera://settings/system showed that hardware acceleration was turned off. I enabled it and, Voila! cpu went down to 2%.
Many thanks to the replies. I couldn't've done it alone.

RE: [Solved]How to block a podcast interruptionOpera for Windows
@leocg Yes-that was it! I'm pretty sure I didn't set it on, but now I know how to get rid of these.

[Solved]How to block a podcast interruptionOpera for Windows
Somehow I am getting a mini popup in the lower right of my screen that is a podcast from a news organization. I did not ask for this intrusion and want it stopped. It isn't anything I did through an email as it is targeting my IP address, not my user name or any other identity.
I sent email to the news org to stop it but how do they even know who I am.
I looked thru the settings but couldn't find any way to stop it. -
When tab selected, it shifts to the left and causes cancel from cursorOpera for Windows
This has been going on for s a long time. I finally decided to report it.
On my laptop I have 30 or more tabs open at once.
When I click a tab, it opens the window but the tab shifts left directly under the cursor, which deletes the window. This doesn't occur all the time, but often enough that I just can't take it anymore. If it shifted to the right, there would be no problem. -
RE: [Solved]Speaker/audio became disabled todayOpera for Windows
Problem went away on its own. The possible cause might have been due to another tab grabbing the audio and I wasn't aware of it.
Problem closed. -
[Solved]Speaker/audio became disabled todayOpera for Windows
Opera Version:95.0.4635.84
Something weird happened as I was listening to a podcast. The audio went silent while listening. I was listening and at the same time browsing other web sites on different tabs. Somehow I mis-clicked a tab(don't know what I did) and the audio went dead. Nothing shows in settings for audio options.
My laptop audio display shows the audio is at 100%. I closed everything and rebooted but still nothing.
The audio plays fine in windows explorer. -
RE: Password manager not saving passwordsOpera for Windows
Weird, I was able to log in with my user and password in the Opera system. I don't know when the login credentials got activated.
I do not have a Microsoft account installed.
Note: When I click on the Opera menu icon, it shows in the list of options "signed in as pdw". I have never seen that before.
I have exited Opera and restarted it many times since I opened this problem so don't know when the password became active.

Password manager not saving passwordsOpera for Windows
A new computer, Lenovo, Opera is not saving my passwords. Yes-the feature is checked in settings. Just now, I logged in to Opera, by entering email and password. The notice above to save password was not visible. Looking in password settings, the Opera site info did not exist.
After logging out and re-log back in, the autofill put in my email address but did not have the password. This seems to be an old problem as there are many similar problems, but no resolutions. Opera is up to date.

RE: Weird problem with NOAA SnowmapOpera for Windows
@pdw The problem is back again. After Opera crashed last night and opened the page again, the problem is there once again. I don't know what causes the problem and what causes it to go away..
Note: I made sure I have the latest .net installed. -
RE: Weird problem with NOAA SnowmapOpera for Windows
@pdw As of this morning, the site is working alright. I didn't do anything since yesterday and no new updates have been applied.
